"Today’s class will be my 30th in a row, and I am over-the-moon in love with Bikram Yoga. At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, Bikram is changing my life. This is a stressful time right now professionally for me, but Bikram is helping me stay calm, focused, and sane. Bikram has also done wonders physically. Weight loss and clearer skin aside, my knees are feeling great! Sadly, I’m a bit of damaged goods; I have had three open knee surgeries (three ACL reconstructions) over the past 15 years, most recently in 2008. (My left knee looks like a child drew all over it, with a knife.) Running, soccer, tennis, roller-blading, dancing, etc. (i.e., any kind of high-impact sport involving pivoting, side-to-side movement, and/or jumping around) are strictly off limits.
In Bikram Yoga, I’ve finally found a “sport” I can play that gives me strength, cardio, and flexibility, and that is helping, rather than further destroying, my poor knee.

"You can tell immediately upon entering Bikram Yoga in River North that this is a place that is dedicated to offering you the best experience. Every instructor is warm and knowledgeable. The new facility is beautiful, clean and efficiently caters to both small and large classes. Each class I walk away with a slight adjustment to my practice or a new piece of information that helps me better understand the art of what I’m doing with my body and become more enthusiastic about continuing. I have practiced Bikram yoga in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and across the Chicagoland ... without exception, this is the best studio."

"I just wanted to say thank-you to you and Katie for making my trip to Chicago a wonderful weekend get-away. I travel extensively and always plan trips with Bikram as part of the schedule so I can truly enjoy my travels. I enjoy Bikram yoga so much that I have taken over 1000 classes and want to say that Katie is the reigning North American top teacher in my book. Her dedication to the dialogue and wonderful personality should be the standard for teachers around the globe."

"I was an insomniac. I had also been taking Ambien to sleep for well over a year. I had read that regular Bikram practice can aid with sound sleep. It certainly has proven to be the case for me. Not only do I feel better overall (no more neck knots!), but I am now sleeping more soundly than ever and I'm off of the Ambien. Bikram practice has changed my life. If you have sleep issues, Bikram will help."
